The Paderborn Maths Circle at Paderborn University is once again offering young people in Year 8/9 and above, as well as those in the sixth form, who are interested in Mathematics and STEM subjects the opportunity to explore exciting Mathematics beyond the school curriculum during the coming winter semester. As the mathematical requirements in all STEM study programmes go far beyond school Mathematics, this free programme is available to support future academic success.
In engaging workshops, the young people learn how to carry out simple proofs as part of a team and with close support, and develop a genuine understanding of concepts in Mathematics.
The dates for the 2026/27 winter semester (online every Wednesday, 5.00 pm – 8.00 pm) are:
- 4 November 2026: ‘Pentominos and similar puzzles’ (online via Zoom/Teams)
