Harish-Chandra Seminar

Every given semester this seminar focuses on a particular theme in the representation theory and the harmonic analysis of real reductive groups.

Topic Summer 2023: A main theme will be the Whittaker Plancherel theorem as stated by Harish-Chandra. Another topic will be Harish Chandra's approach to the Plancherel theory of SL(2,R), which will be discussed in detail. Furthermore students will give talks on the Harish-Chandra isomorphism.

The seminar will take place in D 1 320 every Thursday from 4.15 to 6 p.m.

Topic Winter 2022/2023: Almost Schur-orthogonality for tempered representations following a recent article of Kazhdan and Yom Din. In particular we will try to extend their framework to real spherical homogeneous spaces.

The seminar will take place in D 1 303 every Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m.
