The conference takes place in the conference room O2 in the O building (ground floor) on the main campus of Paderborn University.

The O Building (Building O) at the University of Paderborn is situated at Pohlweg 51, 33098 Paderborn, right on the corner of Südring on the main campus.

How to get there & directions

• Address for sat-nav: Pohlweg 51, 33098 Paderborn
• By bus: Get off at the ‘Uni / Südring’ stop (e.g. bus route 9 or local university bus routes); it is a few minutes’ walk from there.
• By car: Turn onto Pohlweg via the Südring; parking spaces are available in the immediate vicinity on the campus grounds.
• Location on campus: The building is situated in the southern part of the main campus, near the Südring and to the west of the engineering halls. You can find the official orientation map here. Note that this map is not north-south oriented.

The registration and coffee breaks will take place in room O1.258 next to the conference room. Additionally, the room O1.252 in the same hallway will be available for discussions.

The conference room has two large moveable blackboards and one large projection screen. It is also possible to use the projection screen and two moveable blackboards.

Meals

Besides the conference dinner, no lunch or dinner meals are included in the conference. A “canonical” option for lunch is the university restaurant (Mensa, denoted by ME on the campus map) is located near the main university entrance. It offers a varied selection of meals, including vegetarian and vegan options. You can use a credit card as a payment method. The opening hours are 11:15 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 11:15 .a.m.-1:30 p.m. on Friday.
There is also a small café in the same building with coffee, drinks, baked rolls, and some other snacks.
As an alternative, the shopping mall "Südring Center" (5-10 minutes walk) offers various snack and fast food options. 

Internet access

We provide two networks for WIFI access: Eduroam and Webauth.

It is possible to reach the university campus from the city center by foot in roughly 30 minutes, or alternatively by bus in about 15 minutes. Tickets can be purchased online via the PaderSprinter website (credit card payment), through their app (credit card payment), directly on the bus (only cash), or at many bus stations, including Hauptbahnhof = main station (both cash and credit card payment). Online options feature a 20% discount on single one-way tickets. We recommend to buy either "4er Tickets" (4 rides),  or a "7 Tage Ticket" (7 days).

Another possibility is to use the "Deutsche Bahn" app on smartphones to book such tickets or even to look for bus connections.
