From June 26-30, a Conference on "Processes and Heat kernels with symmetries" will take place in Angers (France) within the thematic semester "Probability" organized by the Centre Henri Lebesgue. Besides a number of research talks, the Conference will feature 4 mini-courses. Among the lecturers and invited speakers are: L. Saloff-Coste, M. Defosseux, J. Dziubanski, M. Voit, A. Grigor'yan, N. O'Connell, B. Trojan, J. Woerner.

With the University of Bielefeld, we will receive 10.7 million in research funds for the Collaborative Research Centre "Integer Structures in Geometry and Representation Theory" from the German Research Foundation (DFG) from 2023 for an initial period of four years. From July 22-26, 2019 the 15th International Symposium on Orthogonal Polynomials, Special Functions and Applications (OPSFA) took place at the RISC in Hagenberg near Linz, Austria. As part of the program, there was a Minisymposium on "Multivariate special functions related to Lie algebras", which was organized by Michael Schlosser, Vienna. 

The mathematical description of symmetries in terms of Lie groups can be found in various areas of modern mathematics.
