Welcome to the homepage of the research group "Harmonic Analysis"

Our research centers around the interplay between harmonic analysis and the modern theory of multivariate special functions.

In particular, we are interested in structures which are motivated by the analysis on symmetric spaces, but allow far-reaching generalizations within the framework of Dunkl theory and its variants due to Heckman-Opdam and Macdonald-Cherednik. Typically, new methods have to be developed in order to extend known results from the "geometric" setting of symmetric spaces to the general case.
