Carlo Kaul, student at the Institute of Mathematics, was awarded the MFO Prize for one of the best presentations at the 2024 Student Conference of the German Mathematical Society (DMV) in Ilmenau. As part of this recognition, he was given the opportunity to publish an article based on his bachelor's thesis and was invited to attend a one-week conference at the Oberwolfach Research Institute for Mathematics. The article, titled „Elliptische Kurven, Modulformen und ihre Galois-Darstellungen“ which is based on his thesis, has now been published in the current issue of the „Mitteilungen der DMV“ (Band 33, Heft 1). The thesis was supervised by Prof. Dr. Fabian Januszewski.
