Project course from Gymnasium Schloß Neuhaus visits Paderborn University

As part of a research collaboration, the project course “Empirical Social Research” from Gymnasium Schloß Neuhaus visited Paderborn University. The collaboration was initiated by Kevin Oergel (GSN) and Luca Jotzo (AG Binder) and is embedded in the research project ProDaBi – Data Science and Big Data in Schools. In the ProDaBi project, we focus on the development, testing, and scientific evaluation of concepts and materials related to data science and artificial intelligence in schools.

The visit centered on a workshop offered by the University Library on researching and evaluating academic literature. The workshop supported the students in planning and conducting their own quantitative empirical research projects, which they develop, carry out, and evaluate using data as part of the project course. At the same time, the visit provided authentic insights into academic work at the university.

Further information about the university visit can be found on the website of Gymnasium Schloß Neuhaus.
