Setting up Kerberos
Some services are based on Kerberos (such as AFS). For this reason, Kerberos must first be set up.
Quick reference:
Realm: MATH.PADERBORN UNIVERSITY.DE
Kerberos server: Does not need to be specified
Step by step instructions:
There are different implementations of Kerberos. We recommend the MIT Kerberos distribution.
- Please download the latest installation package and start it.
- Depending on your requirements, select the desired components. Only the KfW client is required.
- The installation path can remain the default path.
- You do not need to change the configuration file at this point. Any ticket can be retrieved regardless of the default realm.
- If desired, you can start the programme when Windows starts.
After a short installation phase, the user can start the programme, retrieve a ticket and display it.
