Quasihomogeneous Blow-Ups and Pseudodifferential Calculus on SL(n,R)

Abstract:

We consider the quasihomogeneous blow-up of a submanifold Y in a surrounding manifold with corners X. It generalizes the concept of radial blow-up and revolves around the idea of assigning different weights to functions vanishing at the submanifold Y. In the second part, we consider the hd-compactification of SL(n,R), introduced by Albin, Dimakis, Melrose and Vogan. . We introduce a resolution of this compactification, on which right-invariant differential operators have simple degeneracies at the boundary. We construct an algebra of pseudodifferential operators on X. It is constructed using a resolution of X^2 by a series of quasihomogeneous blow-ups.
