Info about the pool rooms

The Institute of Mathematics operates two pool rooms for students.

  •  a Linux pool in D3.301
  •  a Windows pool in D3.339 and D3.344 respectively.

The pool rooms are also used for courses and have to be vacated when needed. The current occupancy schedule is always posted on the door.
Access to pool rooms

Pool rooms are open from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm during the week. At other times, rooms can only be accessed by swipe card. You can request a swipe card from the Computer Science operation (Rechnerbetrieb Informatik) - provided you have a login in Mathematics.

Course participants can only use the room during the general opening hours indicated. Access to mathematics pool rooms by swipe card is logged due to thefts in the past. The data is used to investigate offenders in suspected cases. Please do not open the door on knocks or for others anymore. Do not lend out your swipe card and report the loss of your card immediately.

Printing in the pool rooms

To use the laser printers in the pool rooms you must first pay for the appropriate pages, at the Student Council in E1.311. For technical reasons, however, this is generally not possible at this time.
