Hello dear prospective students,

Here you will find some information about the P1 bridge course, which is designed to prepare you for a degree programme in the following subjects:

• Electrical Engineering
• Industrial Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Chemistry and Chemistry Eucation
• Chemical Engineering
• Computer Engineering
• Business CS
• Materials Science

The bridge course takes place from 07.09. - 02.10.2026 (right before the student-organized orientation week).

The participation is strongly encouraged for all students of the subjects above based on past experience.

From the 01.01.2026 onwards you can sign up for the brige course t3://page?uid=187409#851542. If you sign up before then you will be sign up for the previous year.

The bridge course is structured as follows:

Every monday, wednesday and friday 9:00-12:00 there is a lecture at the Paderborn University. After a lunch break, from 13:00-15:00 you will work on exercise sheets in tutorials. Tuesdays and Thursdays are reserved for independent study. On these days you will work with the studiVEMINT Material that we offer (the material is in german), based on our instructions. If you don't want to participate in the lecture, video recordings similar to the lecture will be made availbale (in german).

You can access all material in a moodle course dedicated to the bridge course. There you will also receive more information.
