Dates and contents

You can register for the bridge courses here from January 1 2026. If you register before this date, you will be registered for the previous bridge courses.
The bridge courses offer the opportunity to
- familiarise yourself with everyday university life even before you start your studies : just like a "real" lecture, the bridge courses include lectures, tutorials/exercise groups and exercise sheets. This allows you to familiarise yourself with the new, initially unfamiliar study situation during the bridge course.
- to make up for possible gaps in knowledge from maths lessons at school: Different aspects are emphasised here in the different bridge courses. For example, the bridge course for prospective students on the Bachelor's degree programmes in mathematics, technomathematics and computer science as well as for prospective teachers focuses in particular on practising mathematical thinking and mathematical argumentation (proofs, mathematical notation). Therefore, a selection of suitable topics is discussed (some of which are familiar from school) on which this is practised.
- To get to know some of the new fellow students before the start of the semester and to find new friendships and study groups.
