The bridge course concepts

ATENTION: THE BRIDGE COURSES ARE OFFERED IN GERMAN ONLY AND ALL MATERIAL RELATED TO IT IS IN GERMAN AS WELL

The team for the organisation and implementation of the bridge courses in mathematics at Paderborn University is responsible for both the bridge courses and the aptitude test courses in mathematics.

The Mathematics aptitude test course is aimed at future students of Paderborn University who have to pass the Aptitude Test before starting their studies.

The bridge course is aimed at first-year students with a general higher education entrance qualification who are enrolling for STEM subjects at Paderborn University. We strongly recommend participation in the bridge course, as experience has shown that not all first-year students have the same level of mathematical education due to different specialisations at school. The courses serve to refresh and deepen the mathematical knowledge of the 5th-13th grade and to prepare students for the working methods and course-specific content of university mathematics. The content covered in the bridge courses is relevant for all future maths courses and is a prerequisite for the degree programme. As a participant in the bridge course, you will also get to know the university and your new fellow students.

The bridge course in mathematics and the aptitude test course work with the materials from the VEMINT project(virtual introductory tutorial in mathematics , computer science , natural sciences and technology), which have been tried and tested over many years and are constantly being further developed.

The materials are made available to every course participant free of charge.
