10 September 2025 saw the launch of the new Maths Adventure project, which is led by Simone Jablonski, Junior Professor of Mathematics Education. The project is supported by the Paderborn Community Foundation, on whose behalf Dr Rasmus Jakobsmeyer attended the launch event.

From October 1, 2025, Prof. Dr. Axel-Cyrille Ngonga Ngomo will take over the office of Vice Dean for Computer Science. He succeeds Prof. Dr. Eric Bodden, whom the Faculty would like to thank for his commitment. Also on October 1, Prof. Dr. Balázs Kovács will succeed Prof. Dr. Tobias Weich as Vice Dean for Mathematics. We would also like to thank Prof. Weich for his dedicated work in the Dean's Office.

The Centre for Higher Mathematics Education (khdm) has received funding for the HALMA project in collaboration with the universities of Hannover, Kassel, and Paderborn. HALMA aims to explicitly anchor binding, individually tailored, and professionally coherent learning paths within the course offerings for students, adapted to competency profiles and study objectives.
Paderborn University's maths circle, in which pupils can learn about exciting mathematical topics beyond the school curriculum, is entering a new round in the coming summer semester.
